2017
Born June 26th, 1922. Died May 8th, 2017. Preceded in death by his "Sweetie" and love of his life, Lois Kuhn in 1986 and beloved daughter, Mary Lou in 2002. Cherished father who will be missed by his children, Frank (Mary), and Vicki (Ron) Kitzmann; son- in-law, Tom Siebold; 6 grandchildren & 8 great grandchildren who all adored him; baby sister, Marilyn (Dick) Silverness; and many cherished nieces, nephews and dear friends.
Frank was in WWII and served in the Army Air Force from 1943 until 1945 and was in the reserves for 25 years. He and his son ran Frank’s Autobody in Hopkins from 1955-2014, with many devoted and caring employees, acquaintances and friends. He worked there until retirement at the ripe young age of 92! His many hobbies included golf, bowling, fishing and tennis, but his biggest love was skiing with buddies, including his very close friend, Roger Kemp. His lifelong skiing, fishing and golf buddy, Boyer Palmer also preceded him in death, but left his beautiful widow, Fern, to spend endless hours talking on the phone, laughing over their many memories of 80 plus years and, on occasion, dancing!
His celebration of life will be at 11:00am, Wednesday, May 17th at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 8115 State Highway 7, St. Louis Park, with visitation 1 hours prior to the service and a light lunch to follow. A private interment will be held at a later date at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to the National Kidney Foundation, Hospice care of Park Nicollet, who took such loving care of him, with special thanks to his nurse Michelle, or to the donor’s choice. Frank will be missed by so many, but none more than Frankie and his "baby girl" Vicki.....RIP Daddio
