Frank Mendez, age 81, a native of San Diego, California passed away on Monday February 4, 2019. Frank was born August 26, 1937 to parents Raymond and Ana Mendez.

Frank graduated from San Diego High School. He then started his life-long career working with Rohr Industries as a Heat Treater. He retired after 46 years of working for the aerospace industry.

On June 13, 1959 Frank married the love of his life, Rose Acuna. They were blessed with close to
fifty years of marriage and four children.

Frank was a devoted fan to his San Diego Padres and the San Diego Chargers. Whenever possible
he would catch their games on television if he couldn't be there in person to watch them play.
His favorite get-a-way was Las Vegas, trying to make it out there on an annual basis. Frank's zest for life and love for his family will never be forgotten. He will be greatly missed by family and friends alike.

Frank is survived by his spouse, Rose Mendez; son Frank Anthony Mendez; son Michael Ray Mendez; and son Ricardo Martin Mendez; granddaughter Kristia Marie Piper, grandson Michael Ray Mendez Jr. and great granddaughter Leilani Lynn Mendez and great grandson Michael Ray Mendez III.

Frank was preceded in death by; daughter Julie Ann Mendez Olson.

A visitation for Frank will be held Tuesday, February 12, 2019 from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM at Funeraria del Angel Chula Vista, 753 Broadway, Chula Vista, CA 91910. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, February 13, 2019 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, at Funeraria Del Angel, 753 Broadway, Chula Vista, CA 91910. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery, 4470 Hilltop Drive, San Diego, California 92102.
