Frank Paul Mendola

Frank was born in Brooklyn, New York, on 11/17/1947 to Joseph and Josephine (Alfano) Mendola. The family quickly moved to Phoenix, AZ, which Frank considered home. He graduated from Arcadia High School, was a 2nd Lieutenant in the U.S. Army, and graduated from Arizona State University from their engineering department. Frank worked as an environmental engineer for much of his career. He was named AZ Rock Products Association Member of the Year. Frank was proud to be a Freemason and was incredibly active in the Scottsdale Masonic Lodge and later the Alpharetta Masonic Lodge. In 2011 he moved to Johns Creek, Georgia, with his daughter, son-in-law, and grandson. Frank passed away in their home on Sunday, November 28th.
Frank was the very proud husband of Donna Alder-Mendola until her passing in 2009 after 33 years of marriage. Frank will be incredibly missed as he was an outstanding father to his daughter, Kimberly Rodriguez, and his son-in-law Gustavo. Most of all, he was a loving and doting "Poppy" to his grandson, Eduardo Giuseppe. He will also be greatly missed by his brother, Joseph Mendola, and his wife Bozena; his sister Diana Johnson and her husband Jeff; his nieces and nephews, in-laws, cousins, friends, and loved ones. He was preceded in death by his wife Donna and his parents, Joseph and Josephine.
