Frank Nuovo Obituary
He was the husband of the late Teresa (Lenoci) Nuovo.
Born on June 22, 1925, in Brockton, he was an Army veteran of World War II. In 1948, he met Teresa, the love of his life, and they were married six months later. They spent 60 happy years together until her death in March 2008.
After graduating from UMass-Amherst with a degree in entomology, he moved to the Cape, where he opened his own business, Cape Cod Termite and Pest Control, which he owned and operated for more than 40 years. He was always a hard worker who, while running his own company, taught himself about real estate and pursued his interest in investment properties throughout the Cape and islands. He was also a kind and generous person, donating land that later became a park in Sagamore Beach.
Frank was passionate about fishing and hunting and considered winning the Martha's Vineyard Bass Tournament one of his biggest accomplishments.
He is survived by two daughters, Carmela Stephens and Teresa Nuovo, both of Sagamore Beach; a sister, Lucy Bagas of Brockton; three grandchildren, Skylar, Marissa and Nelson; and many nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours are private. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Thursday, April 24, at St. Theresa's Catholic Chapel, Sandwich Road (Route 6A), in Sagamore. Burial will follow in Sandwich Town Cemetery.
Gifts in his memory may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
