Frank "Busi" Teague

Busi Teague age 78, of Hulbert, OK left this life to be with the Lord on May 21, 2017 in Tahlequah, OK surrounded by his family. His family has planned a memorial service for 10:00 AM, Thursday, May 25, 2017 at the First Baptist Church of Hulbert, to honor his life. Officiating will be his grandsons Chaplin Nick Pruitt, and Jake Pruitt.
Frank "Busi" was born April 2, 1939 in Hulbert, OK to George and Pearl (Jewell) Teague. Busi Grew up and attended school in Hulbert Where he graduated in 1957. Busi married the love of his life Shirley McClure on September 4, 1957. To this union three children were born; Teena, Shari, and Frank Alan. Busi worked at Muskogee Iron Works for 20 years where he was Union President of local 496. He also worked at Hulbert Public Works until his retirement in 2003. He loved sports, and enjoyed playing, coaching and watching his kids and grandkids, as well as, all kids in the community. He loved the Hulbert Riders, happily giving countless hours to the school, running the clock, working with the booster club, and helping any way he could. Busi also loved the town of Hulbert, serving numerous years on the city council, but his true passion was the Fire Department. He served for 30 years, 25 of those were spent as Fire Chief. He was instrumental in starting the fire department, working tirelessly on fundraisers to purchase buildings, equipment, training and trucks. He took pride in his fire fighters and their commitment to the community.
Busi was preceded in death by his parents, a brother J.B. Teague, sisters-in-law Betty Austin and Rosa McClure, brothers-in-law Carl McClure, Willard Austin, Plez Turney, and Don White and a nephew Jerry Teague.
Left to cherish his memory include his wife of almost 60 years, Shirley. Two daughters; Teena Blanket and husband Titus, Shari Pruitt and husband Jerry, one son; Frank Alan Teague and wife Julie, sister-in-law Christine Turney, Brother-in-law Lonnie McClure and fiancé Kathy, nephew Claude Dell Teague and wife Parma, and a special cousin Jack Teague. His legacy lives on in his grandchildren: Stan Shade and wife Jessica, Nick Pruitt and wife Terri, Jake Pruitt and wife Nikky, Trey Teague and fiancé Latisha and Calan Teague, as well as, his great grandchildren Jackson, Cora, and Sutton Pruitt and Alyvia Shade, and many other friends, and loved ones.
