Frank R. Tedesco

AGE: 90 • Berlin Township

Frank R. Tedesco, 90, of Berlin Township sadly passed this way on January 21, 2016. He was

the loving husband and constant companion of his beloved and beautiful wife of sixty-six years Catherine M. Tedesco (nee Fiore), the proud father of Lorraine T. (George) Singley of Voorhees, Cynthia L. Tedesco of Voorhees and Frank J. Tedesco of Berlin Township. He was the cherished Pop-Pop of grandchildren, Daniel (Flora), Emily; Christina and Kerri. Survived by his sister, Rachel Marciano and brother, Rudolph (Tess) he was predeceased by his sister, Mary and brothers Anthony and Joseph. The pain of his passing will be felt forever by his sisters-in-law Rose and Chris, his nieces and nephews and the many friends that cared deeply for our Mr. T., especially Matti and the others at Kresson View Nursing Center who gave him such comfort. Frank was a meticulous and curious fixer of all things broken. He had a deep curiosity for anything mechanical and a love for education that lead to his many certifications and degrees. An accomplished designer and engineer, he contributed greatly to many complex naval and defense projects and his ingenuity and skill were recognized with numerous awards and honors. He was a great fan of the Phillies and loved family camping in the Poconos, cruses, day trips, and just travelling with his Katarina. A devoted member of ANMAC Post 6253 VFW, he was a distinguished and decorated Veteran of the United States Army and fought for the liberation of Europe and the freedoms we enjoy. A true hero, landed at Utah beach, fought through the hedgerows of France with the Rainbow Division, saw the liberation of Paris and survived the battle of the Bulge. As a military guard at the Nuremberg trials, he was our witness to history's judgement of great evil. A good and decent man, he will be missed and never forgotten.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Thursday (1/28/16) 9: 30 to 10:45 AM at St. Simon Stock Parish/ Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 178 W. White Horse Pike at Franklin Ave, Berlin, where his Funeral Mass with be celebrated at 11 AM. Interment will follow at Brig. Gen. W.C. Doyle Veteran's Mem. Cem. with Military Honors. Frank's family requests in lieu of flowers, donations in his memory be made to the American Diabetes Assn., 1060 N. Kings Highway, Suite 309, Cherry Hill, NJ 08034.
