Frank Michael "Mickey" Tomlinson DARLINGTON-Frank Michael "Mickey" Tomlinson, 61, of Darlington, passed away Sunday, July 29, 2012 in a Hartsville hospital after an illness. Mr. Tomlinson was born in Florence, SC a son of Frank Liston Tomlinson and Leona McDougal Tomlinson of Florence. He attended Florence Public Schools and Camden Military Academy, a charter member of John Calvin Presbyterian Church, a member of the Elks and had retired from the City of Florence after 30 years of service. He was an avid hunter and fisherman who enjoyed his lake house on Santee. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Sylvia Maxine Tomlinson, who died March 6, 2009. He is survived by their children, Kevin (Peggy) Tomlinson and Chris Tomlinson, both of Florence, his wife, Wendy D. Warr Tomlinson of Darlington; grandchild, Amber Celeste Tomlinson; great-grandchild, Madison Matthews; step-children, Karissa Hall and M.J. Hall, both of Darlington; siblings, Linda (Nathan) Sink of Ocala, FL and Stephen (Donna) Tomlinson of Mill Spring, NC; step-grandchildren, David Hensley, Sarah Lyday, and Alicia Hatmaker; sisters-in-law, Mae Moody, Carolyn Hooks and Ann Powell; several special aunts, especially Sandra Lee and a number of nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to John Calvin Presbyterian Church, 2000 Marsh Avenue, Florence, SC 29505. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, August 1, 2012 in the Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home chapel conducted by Dr. Rodney Foster and Dr. Richard Andrews. Burial will follow at Florence Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6 - 8 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
