Frank Yates, Jr. Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Sep. 19, 2017.
Frank Barns Yates Jr., 72, passed away at his home on Sunday, September 17th. Frank was born January 8, 1945 to Frank B. Yates Sr. and Mildred Yates, and was the sixth of seven children (he is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Daniel). He grew up in Denver and graduated from South High School in 1963. Frank later married Evelyn Gardner and they raised two daughters, Tracy and Christine. He lovingly built the family home in Morrison from 1976-78, and he worked as a mechanic for Mountain Bell until his retirement.

Frank lived with a smile on his face and generosity and love in his heart. He could always be found serving others with his many skills and gifts. Frank was also a 28 year volunteer for Westernaires in Golden. Frank is, and will forever be, deeply loved and missed by his surviving family: Tracy Puckett (daughter), Christine Yates (daughter), Mason Puckett (grandson), Jack Puckett (grandson), Sisters: Frances Bahl, Kaye Yates-Taylor, Anne Miller, and Brothers: Hugh Yates and Robert Yates. He leaves behind many bereaved cousins, nieces, nephews, in-laws, and friends. Services will be held Tuesday, 9/26, 10:00am at St. Bernadette Catholic Church, 7240 W. 12th Ave. Lakewood.

Arrangements under the direction of Olinger Crown Hill Mortuary, Cemetery & Arboretum, Wheat Ridge, CO.

Since you were a teenager and I was just the kid visiting Grandma "D" I always thought of you as the coolest, neatest, and nicest guy...and you always have been! As the years have gone by and things have changed and change they do,your calls to my Dad meant so much to him,now you're visiting face to face.Thank you for being part of the Kelker family! God bless your family at this very difficult time and rest in the peace of Christ, Frankie

Thinking of how he would rescue my poor broken down vehicles when I couldn't afford the service stations. What a guy. He shared his cousin with me too.

You are a good man, Frank Yates! You raised two great daughters and were a great Westernaire Dad to have around and give so much time and attention to those kids, horses and organization. I am sure you are wrangling those horses in heaven and having a great afterlife! Prayers and thoughts go out to Christine and the rest of the family.

I truly received a gift of a great neighbor when Frank moved in next door. He was a wonderful man, always willing to help me around the house and barn. We became such good friends he even fed and cared for all my animals if needed. I will truly miss having him across the fence. He will be remembered with great fondness.

Uncle Frankie: One of the finest men I ever have known. Your generosity and golden heart--unsurpassed. You took such good care of your sisters and the rest of your large, extended family, always willingly with love and great humor. We all will miss you dearly. Rest in Peace. Your Loving Niece, Britta

Uncle Frankie, One of my fondest memories of you is always in Kremmling. When we would walk off and talk. About life and the good old days. I loved having you for our crazy Christmas Eve dinners. You will be missed terribly. I love you Goodbye!
