FRANKIE LEE DARTER

BEEVILLE - Frankie Lee (Lela) Darter, 85, of Beeville, passed away on Wednesday, March 7, 2007.
Lela was born on May 24, 1921, in Beeville, to the late Jessie L. Oliver and Sarah Ureste Oliver. She graduated from Nazareth Academy in Victoria in May 1940. She married Eugene (Gene) Morris Darter in Victoria on May 9, 1946. She was a member of Providence Presbyterian Church in Beeville and was a member of Providence Presbyterian's Women Study Group. She was previously employed at Victoria Bank & Trust, America Bank in Corpus Christi, and Sunshine Florist in Victoria.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband in 1970; and a sister, Lois Oliver Caddel in 1986.
Survivors include two daughters, Karen Darter Spence (Mark) and Kerry Darter May (Robert); a niece, Jane Caddel Brewer (Rayford); a sister, Gloria Oliver Quinones; a brother, Jesse George Oliver (Terry); and four grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 14, 2007, at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home with the Rev. Mark Spence officiating.
Burial will be at a later date in Victoria.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Providence Presbyterian Church, Beeville, or to St. Jude Children's Hospital in Memphis, Tenn.

Karen,
