NEWSPAPER OBITUARY FOR FRANKIE LEE (O'NEAL) WEIR
Welling,OK- Funeral services for Frankie Lee Weir will be held on Friday, January 4th, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Reed-Culver Chapel. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 3rd, 2013 from 10:00 AM until 8:00 PM. Interment will take place at Caney Cemetery in Welling, OK. Services are under the direction of Reed-Culver Funeral Home of Tahlequah, OK.
Frankie Lee Weir was born on October 30th, 1941 in Stilwell, OK the daughter of Frank and Lucille (LeMaster) O'Neal. She graduated from Stilwell High School with the class of 1960. On June 14th, 1965, she married the love of her life, David Weir. This union was blessed with one daughter, Dana and one son, Daniel. Frankie was a Seamstress by trade, she owned and operated " Frankie's Sewing and Alterations" in the Tahlequah area. She also worked for years at Wal-Mart as an associate. When she wasn't working, Frankie loved time spent with her husband, children, and family. She enjoyed long phone conversations with her sisters. Frankie liked to go shopping or work on a puzzle. She adored her family and loved to make her homemade soups and cinnamon apples as a treat for them. Frankie was very proud of her family and any endeavor they tried, she was their number one fan. She loved her grandchildren and spent every spare moment she had with them. Frankie was always upbeat and pleasant , her smile could light up a room. Frankie's husband David passed in 2001, and Frankie devoted the time she had left to her family. A Christian by faith, Frankie was called home to her Lord and Savior on January 1st, 2013 in Tulsa, OK with her family by her side. Frankie was 71 years old. She will be missed by her family and friends for her warmth, her love, and her smile.
Frankie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband David, and one sister, Janice Ritter.
Those left to cherish Frankie's memory include her children, Dana Turner and husband Jimmy of Broken Arrow, OK and Daniel L. Weir of Tulsa, OK. She leaves two brothers and four sisters, Glenn O'Neal and wife Retha of Siloam Springs, AR, Macky O'Neal and wife Linda of Stilwell, OK, Mae Jean Coleman and husband Clyde of Stilwell, OK, Carolyn Leach and husband Bob of Stilwell, OK, Linda Weger and husband Phil of Kingston, OK, and Joyce Martin and husband Ken of Prairie Grove, AR. Her legacy lives on in her two grandchildren, Nick and Claire Turner of Broken Arrow, OK, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends and loved ones.
