Franklin E. Holly, 92, of Norwalk, formerly of New Canaan, died Friday, June 10, 2011 at Norwalk Hospital.

Born March 11, 1919 in Norwalk, he was the son of the late Franklin & Kate Green Holly.

He is survived by his wife Phoebe Butler Holly of Norwalk, his son, Albert Holly and his wife Maureen of Hot Springs, AR, his two daughters, Betsy Davis and her husband James of Melbourne, FL and Frann Harrison and her husband Lane of Norwalk. Several grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive.

Mr. Holly was predeceased by his daughter, Phoebe Ann Holly in 1951.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 14, 2011 at the Hoyt Funeral Home, 199 Main St. New Canaan at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Lakeview Cemetery, New Canaan.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service from 10-11 AM. For online condolences, www.hoytfuneralhome.com.

Dear Aunt Phoebe & Franny,
I am so so sorry to hear about Uncle Bud he was a great guy and I remember all he has done for me over the years when I was little. He was a funny guy and I loved him dearly. He is an angel watching over all of us now. God Bless the family at this time. Uncle Bud will be sadly missed by everyone who knew him. Hugs and Kisses to you both
