Franklin Robert Monger Jr.

September 12, 1975 - February 2, 2024

Franklin (Frankie) Robert Monger Jr. passed away peacefully due to complications of preexisting medical issues and renal failure at the age of 48 years on Friday, February 2, 2024, at 6:50 p.m. at UTMB Hospital in Galveston, Texas. He was born September 12, 1975, at Carswell AFB Hospital to Verna (Bresette) Cossairt. He graduated for Haltom High School in 1995. He was a very talented artist who loved to spend most of his free time drawing. Because of his love for art and tattoos, it was to no surprise that he was able to teach himself the art of tattooing. Frankie's main love was the game of football and he watched it every chance he got. He really liked those Dallas Cowboys, but his heart & soul was with the Kansas City Chiefs. Frankie passed away one week before the Super Bowl and would have loved to watch the Kansas City Chiefs win the Super Bowl for the second time in a row.

He leaves behind his mother Verna Cossairt of Watauga, Texas, who loved and adored him more than words can express. He is survived by a sister Victoria Monger of Georgia, his MeMaw, Delores J. Johnston of Watauga, Texas and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He will be deeply missed by all, but most of all his loyal companion and friend, Dixie his German Shepard will miss him. He is preceded in death by his grandfathers, Donald M. Bresette, Leland R. Scott and James Johnston.

Frankie accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior at the early age of 10 and was baptized at Harvest Christian Church in Keller, TX. Frankie loved to worship and praise The Lord and when times were not always easy for him, he knew that he could call upon his Heavenly Father for guidance.

A "Celebration" of Franklin Monger's life will be held on Saturday, March 16th, 2024, at 11 a.m. at Ventura Church, 801 Keller Parkway, Keller, TX 76248.

Me and Frank grew up together as well. We both shared a passion for sports (He with Football and me with Baseball), music and hanging out with all of the old school Haltom City crew. We spent the better part of 5-6 years from Jr.High through High School together and I am honored to have had Frank by my side.

Life took us down separate paths but my bond with Frank and Ma'am Verna never waived.

Until Valhalla Brother, until then I will keep a weathered eye on the horizon and the wind in my sails.

I am so very deeply sorry for your profound loss, Verna. I first met Frankie while attending CR at Harvest Church. He was such a kind, loving young man who adored his Mama and it was evident that you both shared such a strong bond. We would worship together, break into our groups and afterwards we would have fellowship and enjoy each other´s company. I pray that God wraps his loving arms around you, Verna and that HE gives you the strength, comfort and peace to get through this most difficult time. Frankie will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Frankie and I grew up together at Harvest in the children's department and youth group. He was always making people laugh. I most remember him for his kindness and compassion towards others. He always had a smile no matter what. He will be greatly missed. Many prayers for peace and comfort to Verna and the family.

Frankie was the kindest man. He always had a smile on his face just like his mom. Always there to say hello and make people feel welcome wherever we might bump into eachother. One day we will all meet again in heaven

Frankie and I were inseparable throughout school together. We developed a bond that was never taken away. We were more like brothers than simply friends. Life sent us on two separate paths but when we spoke or got together, it was as if no time had passed. Frankie was passionate about two things in his life. Football and his momma. The passing of Frankie breaks my heart like no other. A true friend forever. Until we meet again my brother! I love you momma Verna and will always be here for you. I´m just a phone call away.

My first memory was when they moved to Wisconsin into the apartment complex right behind us.. My mom and Verna became fast friend as did me and my 3 brothers with Frankie that was 40 some yrs ago we remained friends through the yrs losing touch here and there and picking right back up as soon as we reconnected. He had a huge heart and I'm positive he is with the Lord now Verna I am continuing to pray for you I love you!

When I met Verna I went to visit her. That was the day I fell in love with Frankie. So adorable and climbing like a monkey. I am his God Mother and he will always be in my heart!

I only met Frankie a few times. He sat on the floor of his MeMaw´s house petting his dog and smiling. This is how I think of him. Gracious to his mom and MeMaw, and thoughtful toward his `family´ he´d never met.

He loved his mom and my dear cousin, Delores, his MeMaw and I think of him fondly and am grateful he was in their lives and they in his.

May your memory be a blessing to all who knew you.

Frankie and my son Paul attended Haltom together. They knew of each other, but it was a blessing for Frankie as well my self when we made the connection at church. He was quick to say, tell Paul I said Hi.
Frankie knew I loved him and always had that great smile for me. He will be sorely missed by many.
Love you Verna. My deepest Heartfelt Sympathies.
