I was one of Dr. Piacentini's young orthodontics patients too. I remember sitting in his waiting room reading Highlights kid's magazines... with Goofus and Gallant... He was a very nice man. Rest in Peace in the Eternal Presence of the Lord, Dr. Piacentini...

I just heard the news today of Dr. Piacentini's passing and I am so very sorry to hear the sad news. Having grown up in the neighborhood with his son Frank, I can say that while Dr. Piacentini was a somewhat strict father, he was also a very caring parent who obviously loved his children very much. I have many fond memories of growing up in the neighborhood and Dr. Piacentini was very much a part of those fond memories.

Dear Piacentini family,
What a complete shock Franks passing must have been and to this day, still is. Many of you don't know me, but I've been keeping up with your family for years, therefor, I feel a hollow place inside when thinking that "The Great Italian Kingpin" of this entire town is no longer with us..... Or is he..?? I love you always, Dorothy.
Sincerely,
Mimi Nelson

Dorothy, I am now living full time in the desert, but heard about Frank's passing. I'll always remember the great trip to the Galapagos that Jack and I shared with you. Frank will be missed! Lynne Hoffman

Piacentini Family, I'm sorry to hear of your father's passing. Your dad was a very successful man who I'm sure set a good example for you. He was always fun to be around and always very nice to me. I know our parents had some great times together.

I am a residential architect and land planner and had the previlege of working with Frank on a number of pojects in Oregon. He was the perfect gentleman at all times and made you feel that he really appreciated your worth. My wife and I were able to tour the Japanese Garden with him when he was president of the foundation and still recount the enjoyment of being with him that day. The world would be a lot better if there were more people giving and sharing like Frank did.

Dorothy, Bob and I were so sorry to hear about Frank. He was a wonderful man and we feel very honored to have known him as well as you. He will be missed by many.

Frank straightened not only our 3 children's teeth, but mine as well.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Dear Dorothy, We were surprised and saddened to learn of Frank's passing. We really enjoyed getting better acquainted with both of you on the OSDC trips. Frank was always so full of ideas and enthusiasm, plus he had the talent and energy to go with it. You and he made a great team. Warm thoughts and prayers are being sent your way.

Dear Dorothy, Frank, Bob, and Angela;
Bob, Grigsby, Doug and I are so sorry for your loss. I'm at a loss for words so I'll just echo what Bob McDonald told me: I have never met a force like Frank, and I am the better for it.

I just wanted to say that Dr. Piacentini was both of my children's orthodontist. He was a beautiful kind man. I really didnt know much about him except for the experience they had in the office. He was lovely to my children. After reading this in the newspaper, I only wish that we had known him better with so much to offer! Thank you to his family for sharing such a special man.

I was one of those 10,000 kids Dr. Piacentini put braces on. I am now 41 years old and am sad to hear of his passing. I remember him being a nice man and always very upbeat. My condolences to his family.

Dear Piacentini Family,

I am one of the 10,000. Dr. Piacentini straightened my very crooked teeth and gave me a beautiful smile. I have always been grateful to him (and my Mother), for placing high value on excellent dental care.

Dr. Piacentini improved so many lives and brightened so many smiles. I will always remember him and be thankful for his talents.

I am sorry for your loss.

Dorothy - I am sorry to hear of Frank's passing. You two have always been my favorites. I'll miss his smile and readiness to learn about what I was up to. Please let me know if there is anything I can do to help you in what I'm sure is a difficult time.

Dear Piacentini Family, I was probably one of his first patients in the 60s. I have fond memories of taking the bus from Lincoln High to his office by Lloyd Center. I found him to be a kind, thoughtful man. He used to tease that he wanted to see my smile as a Rose Festival princess. Instead I ran for Miss St. Johns. Prayers to you all. Dear Dorothy, My sincere sympathies to you and your family on Frank's passing. I have enjoyed working with Frank both at your Portland home and your gorgeous "Capes" home. Frank was one of my dearest clients and I enjoyed working with his warm and caring manner. I will miss him but he will long be in my thoughts.

We are saddened and so sorry to hear this news. What fond memories we have of the trips to Hawaii and dental functions where we had such a good time with Frank and Dorothy. Ken remembers Frank as one of his best friends in science classes at Franklin High. Frank was truly an inspiration for many and the perfect example of what a good citizen should be. We will miss him. Most sincerely, Dr. Ken and Susan Wilson Berg

My condolences to the family of Dr. Franklin Piacentini. My daughter, Janet, was one of his many patients when she was a junior and senior at Molalla High. Janet shared with him her excitement at touring Italy with me to visit my sister who lived and worked in Rome. I think of Dr. Piacentini as a modern Renaissance man with his many interests and generosity of spirit.

Dear Dorothy, Frank, Bob, and Angela,

So sorry to hear of Franks passing. My memories of him go back to Cub Scouts at Ainsworth school in the 70's. Always a compassionate leader, well repected and admired. A pillar in the community. He will be truly missed. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Peter Bigley
