Funeral Service for Mr. Frazier David Brooks, 75 of Tyler will be held on Saturday at 1:00 pm at Greater Hopewell Baptist Church with Rev. James Curtis serving as eulogist. Burial will follow in Spring Creek Cemetery under direction of John R Harmon Undertaking Company. Mr. Brooks passed away on October 22, 2015 at East Texas Medical Center. He was born on December 8, 1939 to the late Lee Andrew and Willie Ree Brooks in Smith County. He attended Carver Elementary and graduated from Emmett J. Scott High School (Class of '58). Mr. Brooks was a life resident of Smith County and member of Spring Creek Baptist Church. He was an Entrepreneur, owner of B&B Box Lumber Company, member of Custom Truckers Association of Tyler, Brotherhood of Railroaders, Acknowledgements for Juneteenth Celebration, Tyler, Texas. He was awarded the Successful Businessman of Tyler. Mr. Brooks was preceded in death by three brothers; Ernest, Don and Willie (Candy Man) Brooks. Those left to cherish his most precious memories are sons; Reginald Phillips, Winona, Texas and Quinton Washington, Houston, Texas, daughters; LaKeysha Brooks, Atlanta, Georgia and Skyler Brooks, Tyler, Texas, brothers; Jimmy Brooks, Tyler, Texas and Rollen Brooks, Desoto, Texas, grandchildren; Kedra Phillips, Kendall Phillips, Angelica Washington and Christopher Washington. Serving as casket bearers will be the Custom Truckers Association of Tyler. Serving as honorary casket bearers will be Brotherhood of Railroaders, Deacons of Spring Creek Baptist Church along with Reginald Phillips, Jimmy Brooks, Rollen Brooks and Wyatt Brooks. The public viewing will be Friday, 12 noon until 10pm at the funeral home.
