Fred Birdsong Obituary
Family-Placed Death Notice
Mr. Fred B. Birdsong, 89, of Roswell, formerly of Wintergreen, VA and Greensboro, NC, died December 15, 2004. He was a 1934 graduate of Auburn University. He retired in 1979 as Vice President of R&D from Blue Bell, Inc. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII. Mr. Birdsong was preceded in death by his sons, Fred Birdsong, Jr. and Philip Andrew Birdsong, and is survived by his wife of 61 years, Mary Lou Whiteman Birdsong; daughter, Sally McDaniel, of Woodstock, five grandchildren and two great grandchildren. The funeral will be held at St. Francis Episcopal Church, in Greenboro, NC, Monday, December 20, 2004 at 10:00 am. In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to the Wintergreen Nature Foundation, P.O.
