Deepest sympathy from District K Bursary Chair and our District.

There is much to remember and much to be thankful for as we remember Comrade Fred Hannington, and the way he shared his life with those around him. Each of us gives gifts of ourselves to those we share life with. These are gifts that no one can take away. Though we are gone, these gifts remain with those to whom we have given them. Our condolences go to his family friends and comrades and thank him for his dedication to his country, community and Legion. He will always have a special place for those he served.

We lived on the same street as neighbors for decades and the wonderful memories of Fred stopping to chat on his daily walks and the many fun street barbeques and parties will forever be with us. We extend our deepest sympathies to you and your whole family Shirley. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

We were friends & cottage neighbors and spent many happy & entertaining hours with our families around a camp fire.We also spent time over dinners at one another's homes.Fred was a fine Officer and a Gentleman. After we moved to Nanaimo we lost track of one another ,we are sorry about that.To Shirley and family we send our deep sympathy and best wishes.
