FRED WOODMAN MOORE, JR Mr. Moore, 77, a resident of Center Conway, died on 25 November 2002, at Sunbridge Rehabilitation in North Conway, NH. Fred loved the mountains and was a life-long skier. He belonged to many ski clubs and ski organizations, volunteering his time and energy to ski racing programs in New England and New York State. He served as a board member and past president of EICSL, USEASA, USSA, Eastern, and NHARA. He was an alpine official from 1959 and FIS Technical Delegate from 1976-92. He was a whole-hearted supporter of the Easter Slope Ski Club, Mount Washington Valley Ski Team and the U.S. Ski Team He was born 14 August 1925 in Amesbury, MA, to Bertha (Kimball) and Fred W. Moore. He attended Amesbury High, graduating in 1943. He was an Army Veteran of WWII. He worked as a design draftsman at Daka until his retirement in 1992. He is survived by his wife, Starr Jordan Moore, a sister, Eleanor Moore, of Studio City California, and cousins, Lucille Roaf of Newburyport MA, Barbara Doucette of Lauflin, NV, Gloria Noe, of Seabrook, NH, and Betty Hatch of Haverhill, MA. A Memorial Service will be held, 11 AM, November 30, 2002, at St. Margaret Anglican Church, 85 Pleasant St, Conway, NH 03818. A reception for friends and family will follow at the Eastern Slope Inn, in North Conway. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the MWV Ski Team, PO Box 780, Intervale, NH 03845.
