Resident of San Jose, CA
Fred Hall Sharp Jr. passed away at home peacefully on Wednesday, September 30th after a progressive battle with Lewy Body Dementia. His life touched those around him through his gentle and loving spirit, genuine kindness and his love for history and classical music. He is now in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ (2 Timothy 4:7).
Fred was born in Birmingham, AL and graduated with honors from Ramsey High School earning a degree in Political Science at Alabama Polytechnic Institute (Auburn University); he then graduated from the Naval ROTC at Tulane University in New Orleans, LA. After serving in the U.S. Navy for 4 years as an LTJG Officer of ASW, he enjoyed a 30 year career with Lockheed Martin as a systems analyst in Sunnyvale, CA.
Fred is survived by his loving wife, Anne; devoted children Susan Smith (Brian) of Mt. Juliette, TN, Shirley Rosales (Russell) of San Jose, and grandchildren Michael, Sarah, Aaron, Abby and Hannah Smith, Valarie and Kelly Rosales. He is also survived by his sister Nancy Fox of Mt. Dora, FL.
Friends and Family are invited to celebrate the life of Fred H. Sharp at his Memorial Service on Saturday, October 24th at 1:00 p.m. at Church on the Hill, 500 Sands Drive, San Jose, CA 95125
