Deacon Freddie L. Tennell, son of the late Emmett Tennell, Sr. and Maggie Mae Hartsfield Tennell, was born October 28, 1946, in Quincy, Florida. He attended the public schools of Gadsden County and graduated from Carter Paramore, Class of 1968.
Freddie was a true servant of God in his role as Deacon for fifteen years at Deliverance Temple Ministries, under the great guidance of Bishop Titus Deas. He was a loving and caring man with a generous spirit who loved helping others. His favorite amusement was watching sports.
Deacon Tennell departed this life on Wednesday, February 8, 2023, in Tallahassee, Florida.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his loving and devoted Wife: Phoebe Williams Tennell of Quincy, FL; Children: Freddie L. Tennell, Jr., Tamela McMillian (Charles), De'Carla Tennell, and Nija Tennell, all of Quincy, FL, and Anthony Tennell (Sheryl), James Tennell (Chrishawn), and Paul Tennell (Jasmine), all of Atlanta, GA; Stepchildren: Kamecha Buford, Olajuwon Waldron Jones, Reva Perkins, and Veronica Campbell; Grandchildren: Ja’Lyn, Macai, Caniya, Alexis, Quincy, Dy’Neziah, Nolan, Taya, Kayla, Anthony, Jr., Kamaya, Kameron, Octavion, Ja'Vair, Paul, Jr., and De'Quishia; Brother: Clarence Tennell (Patricia); a wonderful and devoted Mother-in-law: Ornell Brown of Lakeland, FL; and Best Friends: English Jackson (Doris) and Andre Paul (Diane), and a host of other sorrowing relatives and friends.
Freddie is preceded in death by his Parents: Emmett Tennell, Sr. and Maggie Hartsfield Tennell; and Brothers: Emmett Tennell, Jr. and Larry Tennell.
