Frederick Bismarck Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Oct. 27 to Oct. 29, 2023.
Daytona Beach - Frederick "Fred" Bismarck passed away on October 19, 2023 at the age of 71 after a courageous battle with sarcomatoid carcinoma. A first-generation American of German immigrants, he was born in Jersey City, NJ in 1952 as the fifth child to Anita Eislie and Otto Bismarck. He was preceded in death by both parents and eldest brother Otto. He is survived by his loving wife, Annette, with whom he shared an enduring love for 44 years, and their two children, Stephen (Tiffany) and Robyn (Josh). Fred was a cherished grandfather, "Poppa", to Grace, Hudson, and August.

A Navy veteran, Fred always carried a deep sense of pride in serving his country. In his professional life, he maintained a 30-year career with Con Edison and spent 5 years with Orange & Rockland Utilities before his retirement in 2006. Upon retiring, he and his wife Annette moved from Monroe, NY to Daytona Beach, FL. Fred lived a life filled with adventure and a deep devotion to his family, friends, and his beloved pets. He loved cooking and a good football game. He was also an excellent handyman who was always willing to use his skills to help others in need.

Fred was an active member of the Gold Wing Road Riders Association, where he could share his passion for motorcycles, explore new towns and eateries, and ride the open road with friends. He and his wife traveled often on their motorcycle and also had a love for travel aboard cruise ships. They traveled to various countries over the past 15 years, spending time both at sea and exploring the world.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Fred's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
