Frederick Ray Ewan, known fondly to friends and family as Fred, passed away on June 19th, 2024, at the age of 80. He was born on July 20th, 1943, in Eldorado, Illinois, to John Ewan and Fayetta Peak.

Fred spent his life as an entrepreneur & inventor in the manufacturing industry, owning and operating multiple manufacturing corporations. He attended Eldorado High School and later pursued his education at Northwestern University.

In his leisure time, Fred was an avid basketball player & dedicated coach to his two sons. In his later years, he enjoyed playing tennis & golf. He passionately rooted for the Philadelphia Eagles & New York Yankees and loved sharing happy hours with friends. Fred was known for being the life of the party, always bringing laughter and warmth to every gathering.

Fred is survived by his sons, Freddy Ewan of Alexandria, Virginia, and Beau Ewan and his wife Nathalie Ewan, of Dana Point, California. He also leaves behind his loyal business partner and friend of over 50 years, Bob Ozimek of St. Augustine, Florida.

Fred was preceded in death by his father John, mother Fayetta, brother David, and his beloved dog, Cooper. His spirit of fun and companionship will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
