Frederick Sampe Obituary
Manitowoc - Frederick G. Sampe, age 79, formerly of Manitowoc, died on Sunday, August 5, 2018 at Regions Hospital in St. Paul, MN.
Frederick was born on December 27, 1938 in Manitowoc Rapids, WI, son of the late Fred and Enanda (Berg) Sampe. He graduated from UW Platteville with a Bachelor's Degree in Agriculture. Fred served with the United States Army National Guard. He worked as a dairy fieldsman for most of his career.
Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law: Jill and Raj Upadhyaya; one granddaughter: Julie Upadhyaya; one son-in-law: Greg Rudi; and one sister and brother-in-law: Dorothy and Dean Christianson. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents: Fred and Enanda (Berg) Sampe; one daughter: Kristin Rudi; one granddaughter: Ruth Upadhyaya; three brothers: Bill, Ray and David Sampe; and one sister: Beatrice Ebert.
Cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 18, 2018 at the All-Care Center (925 South 14th Street), Manitowoc. Burial of his cremated remains will take place at Knollwood Memorial Gardens, Town of Kossuth, at a later date.
The family will greet relatives and friends on Saturday, August 18, 2018 at the All-Care Center, Manitowoc, from 11:00 a.m. until 12:45 p.m.

I'm very sorry for your loss. I have fond memories of him when he and Jane were first married. He was quite political and was always up on the latest in both state and national government. I'm sending a photo I found recently of the Sampe family meeting Governor Knowles. I love that Fred is looking at Jill in the photo. He was so proud of her.
