As an architectural rep I see many architects all over Northern California but Fred always stood out as a man who was jovial and enjoyed life. It is with great sadness that I came across this when I was in town this past week. I never realized what a rich for life Fred had beyond his architectural business. It is with great sadness that I say goodbye to a business acquaintance who is one of the best. I leave my deepest condolences to his wife Nancy and his children. May you find peace and joy as you remember a very loving husband and father.

Fred and Nancy lived next door to my mother Helen Hunger in Visalia. We had two boys of our own shortly after Danny and Eric were born. On our visits to see my mother Nancy would always give us the wonderful striped shirts that her boys had outgrown. Many of our old photos feature those shirts and we've always remembered the Scott family when viewing them. When building our house in 1988 Fred asked to see our plans. He offered 2 thoughts to improve the plans and we incorporated both to great effect. Now our house needs rebuilding due to burning down in the Camp Fire in Paradise. Paul and I have been trying to keep the same footprint and design. Since we have so often talked about how Fred made our house better I looked up the Scotts today and found that Fred had passed away. Hello to Nancy, Danny, and Eric. Paul and I were there experiencing and observing some of your earliest fun family times.

I knew Fred for a few years. I met him at the Visalia Elks. He called me Big K because I don’t think he remembered my first name, lol. Anyway, I would see him one or two Saturday’s a month at the club. Fred was always so nice and we would have pleasant conversations. I’m glad I got to know him before I moved out of the area in late 2019. All my thoughts and prayers to Fred and his family during this difficult time. RIP

Always enjoyed Fred, took many classes at KHS with him. In high school, he had the coolest white shoes, which he would lend to me for my band performances. No doubt, I played better when I wore them!!! RIP, Freddie!!!

Denney and I are sorry to hear of Fred's passing. We met Fred in the 80s when he was a client of mine at the Holiday Inn as he coordinated the "Discover Visalia Day" event. Later after I retired, Fred hired me part-time to help in his business. He was always so generous to everyone. He had many friends and will be missed. Our sympathies to the family.
