Frederick Taylor, Jr. Obituary
He graduated from Fork Union Military Academy and ECU where he received his MBA and played football. He was a South Central Regional President with Verizon Wireless.
He is survived by his wife, Misty Taylor, one son, Charlie Taylor and one daughter, Madison Dean Taylor, all of the home; his parents, Frederick Dean Taylor of Chesapeake, VA; Susan Morris of Burgaw, NC; one brother, Hal Blake of Rocky Point, NC; and one sister, Andrea Blake of Burgaw, NC.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, December 27, 2013 at Asbury Methodist Church. The family will receive friends following the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice.

My deepest sympathy is with the Taylor family during this very tough time. May god wrap his comforting arms around you all. I had the chance to meet Mr. Taylor during my time with Verizon Wireless and what an inspirational man he was. He will leave a very long legacy and very big shoes to fill at Verizon Wireless.

Misty, Madison and Charlie, Your Husband and Father is one of the most remarkable people I have ever worked with here at Verizon. I met Dean 10 years ago during the Cellular One conversion. My deepest sympathies to you Misty and your family.Dean was my manager at Verizon back in the Bell Atlantic Mobile days in the Spartanburg retail store. I always admired and respected him so much. Later in my career at Brookfield I was always greeted by Dean with that great big smile:) and an encouraging word! Dean always made my day brighter and I was blessed to have the privilege of knowing him.

Words can't describe how painful this is. I just found out today that Dean had passed. When Dean was a mentor to me at verizon witless and he always ensured I had everything I needed to be successful. He will be missed.

I remember him as a nice guy to everyone, hard working, respected by teammates, focused academically and athletically. He was a great role model for this incoming freshman.

I met Dean when I was a freshmen LB on the football team at ECU. Dean was a junior offensive line. What stands out to me is that he was pretty tough, played whistle to whistle and gave his all every play. Dean was a great person who never met stranger. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family. I always looked forward to seeing Dean with his big smile. He loved his family and talked about them with his business associates. He was an inspiration to me as he took me as I was and worked with me to make me better. He never looked down on anyone and built us up. I considered him a FRIEND and not a boss.
