KNOPP, Fredrick With sadness we announce the passing of Fred Knopp of Leduc, formerly of Thorsby on January 2, 2006 at the age of 89 years. Fred is survived by his loving family, his wife of 62 years, Erna, son Emil (Irene) Knopp of Thorsby, daughters, Darlene (Walter) Laba of Calmar. Doreen (Murray) Schrader of Leduc and Deborah (Grant) Eklund of Airdire, nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren, his brothers, Rienhold of Calgary, Elmer (Myrtle) of Leduc and Herb (Arlene) of Lacombe, also many nieces, nephews and friends. Visitation for family and friends will be on Wednesday, January 4, 2006 from 7:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Hainstock and Son Funeral Chapel, Leduc. The Funeral Service will be on Thursday, January 5, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, Thorsby with Pastor Karl Hedlin officiating. Interment will follow in the St. Matthew's Lutheran Cemetery, Thorsby. Donations in memory of Fred may be directed to the charity of personal choice. Doreen & Family: Sorry sorry to read of the passing of your dear Dad. Your heart must be very sadden at this time. Our thoughts and prayers are with you as you go through this very difficult time. He was a very special man and you know I only thought very fondly of him. God be with you all.
