My dear boy, I will miss you every day left of my life. My husband, your Step Father Karl, since your sudden death; although we are still in shock have spent time remembering the wonderful times we spent together.
You were an adorable child and handsome loving teenager. We never had a problem with you. Loved listening to your music. When you appeared in clubs in our area I was there. You used to describe me as your groupie.
I intend to keep a candle burning in your memory for as long as I live.
Your Loving Mother,
Ruth Wackenhut Spindler.

Fred and I worked together for many years. He was an incredible piano player and just a great guy to hang out with. I'll miss him.
My thoughts are also with Fred's lovely wife, Patty, whom I had the occasional pleasure of playing with as well.

Patty & Freddie,
Today I heard of Fred's passing and I am so sad. Your entire family was such a blessing to know. Fred was a great musician, but he was also a holy man. May his soul rest in peace. God bless you & Freddie

Patty and Freddie,
You can't imagine how pained we are to have just now heard of OUR loss! Johnny and I are in a state of shock at the news of Fred's death. He meant the world to our "music ministry" at Our Lady's Parish; and all 3 of you, to the "world" of music at the Lake. It goes without saying how much you(and Rico)meant to us personally. Our deepest condolences, thoughts, prayers -- and love to you and your family, always.

I'm so sorry to hear of Fred's passing. He was a kind, warm and talented man. Fred was loved by many both as a friend and as a musician. Many years ago we worked together at the Borgia Cafe in Philadelphia. I was only a few years sober and he was so kind to kept me company on our breaks. Comfort and prayers for his family and love and healing to you, Patty, in this sad time of your loss. I have thought of both of you often over the years. Godspeed.

Freddie was a kind and generous soul and one of the best musicians that I had the privilege to work with and watch on stage. Freddie had no musical prejudices and was especially open-hearted. He will be missed. Condolences to his family and friends. Love and peace, Winkle and his family in Phila., PA

I'm so sorry to hear of Fred's passing and my condolences go out to Patty and family and their many friends. I had lost touch with Fred and Patty and saw this news on facebook. Fred and Patty are some of the first musicians I met in the Philadelphia area in the early 1990's. They are great musicians and such wonderful human beings. Peace to you Patty and all.

This is such a shock- our family is so saddened at your loss. Fred was such a positive musical influence on our young sons and we all very much enjoyed it when Fred played piano at Stage Left. His performances with his wife Patty (joined at times by Frediie) were so very wonderful to watch.
Fred will be missed by many- may he rest in peace and may the Lord give his family the strength and support they need during this very hard time.

My wife and I are members of St. Mary's choir. Fred was a wonderful director and music enthusiast. He was dedicated to make our church services a great experience for the parish as well as the choir. We will miss him. But the joy he gave us during our performances will always be in our hearts.Pat and Kathy Shea
