Funeral for Frenchie Smith, 60, of Nacogdoches will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Fredonia Hill Baptist Church with Dr. Johnny Dammon officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Yard Cemetery, Center. Ms. Smith died June 12, 2007, in Nacogdoches. Born Feb. 9, 1947, in Sutton Mill, she was the daughter of I.T. and Callie Marie Norwood Smith. She retired from Nacogdoches Memorial Hospital as a nurse's aide, and she was a member of Fredonia Hill Baptist Church. Survivors include her daughter, Cassi Y'Barbo of Nacogdoches; twin sister, Sue Anderson of Nacogdoches; sisters Debbie Sanford and Linda Blanton, both of Chireno, Nelda Bryant of Atlanta, La., and Angie Thompson of Nacogdoches; and one grandchild. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the missions fund or youth ministry at Fredonia Hill Baptist Church, 1711 South St., Nacogdoches, Texas 75964. Visitation will be from 6 until 8 p.m. today. Laird Funeral Home.
