Fritania Sharon Jones

Fritania "Tansia" Sharon Jones was born on December 17th, 1981 in Seattle, Washington to Veronica and Bennie Jones. She was called home on July 19th, 2015, after a long battle of health issues.

She is survived by her Mother and Father, Veronica Galloway-Jones and Bennie Jones, Sr.; her brothers, Mark Schachere, Bennie Jones, Jr., Benjamin Jones, Geoffrey Jones and Robert Bennett; her three sisters, Joyce Schachere, Chante Gilman and Sharon Jones; her two sons, Raymonte Jones Wallace and Desmond Jones-Woods; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Fritania grew up in the Central Area of Seattle, and attended Garfield High School. She was very passionate about doing hair and continued her education at Seattle Central Community College for Cosmetology. In addition to her passion for hair, Tansia was very creative and made quilts, colorful designs, and photo frames. Being the outgoing and fun-loving person that she was, she loved to dance and was also a member of The Electronettes Drill Team. Fritania was raised up in church, and taught to put the Lord first; because of that, she was an all-around great woman and an extremely loving mother to her children. Everyone that knew Tansia saw that she would always do what she could to help someone in need. .

She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Virginia Galloway, Adelbert Galloway from back east, and Richard Jones and Ida Calhoun; and three brothers from Mississippi.

Fritania is loved by many friends and family and will truly be missed.
