The Family of Fumiko Adachi
My deep sympathy to you all in the passing of dear Fay--whom I have known since l942 when we all evacuated to Southern Alberta.
My brother, Muss Okamoto, wrote for the New Canadian and I remember Chiu writing Bloedel Banner, too--was pleased to meet all the Adachi clan, who evacuated here, and kept track of Fay, through May Tahara, whose daughter, Ginny, advised me of Fay's death. I shall notify my sister-in-law, Tatsue Mitani Okamoto, who was a good friend, too.
May the remembrance of all the happy/sad family times help ease the pain in your hearts. I shall always remember her as a gentle, kind empathetic person, who was ever thoughtful of the needs of others.
My love and prayers are with you all,
Mary Okamoto Saruwatari
