Nottingham Forest Football Club fan Mr Glenn Lafferty (50), of Kendal Close, Kirkby, was cremated at Mansfield after a service at the chapel.
Life-long local resident Mr Lafferty was born at Worksop and educated at Kirkby Woodhouse Primary School and Ashfield Comprehensive School, Kirkby.
On leaving school he went to work as a miner at Annesley Colliery before going to work for Welbeck Fabrics and then lastly as a taxi driver for Oasis.
His interests included walking, cycling, camping, holidays with his family and friends and football, especially Nottingham Forest.
Mr Lafferty, who died at King's Mill Hospital, Sutton, leaves his three daughters, Aimee, Lucy and Sarah.

Donations of more than £1,200 received from family and friends are to be divided between the John Eastwood Hospice, Cancer Research UK, the British Heart Foundation and the Haiti Earthquake Survivors. The service was conducted by the Rev C. Corden, and arrangements were by A. Wass.
