Passed away peacefully after a brief illness, surrounded by his family on July 8, 2013 at the age of 70. Predeceased by his father, René Lafrenière and mother Luciana Giguère. He is survived by his wife Marie Breton, his children: Lori Lafreniere-Brower (Gerry), Erik Lafreniere (Tricia Klatt) and their mother Florence Nadorozny-Pappas, his stepchildren: Martine Zaïda (Frank), Dominic Paquette (Noelle) and Isabelle Paquette (Ryan Clark), his grandchildren: Laurianne and Jean Baptiste Zaida, Alexa and Noah Brower, Xavier and Treyah Paquette, Mia Paquette-Gratton. He also leaves his brothers and sisters: Fernand (late Florence), Gerald (Francine), Bernadette (Edwin Hartery), Clement (Gisele) and Maurice (Suzanne), as well as several nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by his brothers and sisters: Anita (Gerard Poitras), Therese (Robert Poitras), Aimé (Berthe Charlebois) and Aurel (Helen Smith). The family will receive relatives and friends at Heritage Funeral Home, 2871 boul. St. Joseph, Orleans, Sunday, July 14, 2013 from 1 p.m. - 3 p.m. The service will follow in the Heritage Chapel at 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Trillium Gift of Life Network would be appreciated.
