I had the opportunity to know Mr. Gabe and Ms. Roseann after graduating from North Carolina State University in 1981. I even assisted moving them to Charlotte, NC (where Mr. Gabe Hill lived originally) when they were married in the early 1980's. I had the chance to know Ms. Jenny Wells their daughter following her graduation from high school. A delightful young lady! This an excellent CASE of: "Good People Surround themselves with GOOD PEOPLE". Rest in peace MR. Gabe. I will see the both you, MS Jenny, Mr. Buddy and MS Rosann all definitely in HEAVEN one day. My prayers and thoughts are with you now Ms. Roseann!!!!! When I get to Heaven, one of the first things I would like to do is play Greenwood Country Club with Mr. Gabe and Mr. Buddy. Both Mr. Gabe and a young "limber back" Buddy will reach the Par 5 fifteen in two. water is on the left and in-front with Mr. James Self house on a hill behind. They will both be putting for eagle!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was extremely lucky to know both Mr. Gabe and Ms. Roseann, Buddy and definitely Ms. Jenny. Rest in Peace Mr. Gabe!!!!!!!! Randy Caudle, N. C. State 1981 and 1993.

Sorry to hear of Gabe's passing! During my competitive golf days, Gabe was extremely nice to me and extremely competitive. He was able to pull both of those off at the same time! What a truegentleman!

To Gabe, Starr, Dawn, and Roseann. Gabe was my Godfather and a lifelong and wonderful friend to my Dad. I loved him and I know how much he will be missed by all who knew him. He lived a full and interesting life.
I am very sorry that I could not attend the funeral.
If you ever need anything from me, please call my cell at 864-680-5343. I live in Spartanburg.
Take care!

Gabe was a true Southern gentleman and a very fine man. I enjoyed my time with Gabe at the various textile meetings over many years as well as our many golf discussions. My late father, Shorty Williams, and Gabe had many encounters concerning their mutual interest in GA Tech. Gabe, you will be missed by many. It is my pleasure to have known you for so many years.

Roseann, I was so sorry to hear of Gabe's passing. He was such a warm and genuine individual and I was so fortunate to call him a friend. I will be thinking of you and may the wonderful memories you made together comfort you in the days ahead.
