GABRIEL NEGRI Obituary
Born on October 28th, 1947 in San Pietro, Cosenza, Italy to the late Agostino and Maria Negri. He was suddenly taken from us much too soon on Tuesday, August 31, 2010. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his infant son and daughter and his four-legged best friend Zeppelin. He was a husband, a son, a father, a grandfather, a brother, an uncle and a friend to all that knew him. He is survived by his wife, Leslie (Sheets) Negri; children, Jody (Eric) Zaborowski of Bellevue, Amy (Richard) Lazaro of Ross Twp., Gabriel (Sandra) Negri of Ross Twp., Stacy (Thomas) Brown of Ross Twp., Jason Negri of Allison Park; siblings, Sestino "Joe" (Barbara) Negri, Frank (Lillian) Negri, Anna Maria (Edwin) Shields, Miranda (David) Tumpa, and Luisa Erhart; grandchildren Ella, Kaylee & Richard, Gabriel & Sophia, Mason, Logan and Caleb; and by many nieces and nephews. He attended Bellevue High School and has resided in West View for the last 34 years. He loved his job as a stage hand for IATSE Local 3 for the last 20 years. He was a cook, a baker, a gardener, a builder and a master of all trades. He was dedicated to his family and spent the last five years working on his retirement home. We will miss his infectious laugh, his distinctive smile, his insistence of always being right and his love and passion for life. Friends received Friday 1:00 till 9:00pm at the LAWRENCE T. MILLER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 460 Lincoln Avenue, Bellevue. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in the Church of the Assumption, Bellevue, on Saturday at 10:00am.

Daddy...I think of you everyday. You are my hero and I was very lucky to have you in my life but you were taken away from all of us too early. I'm truly grateful that Mason and Logan had the time with you and all that you taught them they both are very caring and thoughtful just as you were...I miss you so very much and for Caleb I talk to him about you day and night. He just looks and smiles like he knows who you are, I beleive he was given to me to get through this rough time in my life. Leslie and family,
We were shocked to learn of Gabe's untimely death. My daughter played softball with Amy, and Gabe was always so much fun at the games; joking, smiling, and laughing. His was so upbeat. You have our deepest sympathy on the loss of your dear husband, father and grandfather. May God hold him in the palm of his hand and may he rest in peace. God bless all of you.

I just worked with Gabe the week before, and he kept talking about going up to camp, etc. I will miss seeing him at the Benedum Center. I learned much from him, and his bright attitude was contagious.

Gabe, what am I going to do at work without you? You always made the time go by quicker and we always had more fun than anybody else on the call. Freddie would be the only other one that comes to mind that had as much fun together as we did. I have worked with Gabe for 12 years and I loved seeing his smiling face every time I would walk into the Benedum Center. He was a remarkable man. He would share all of his green thumb expertise with me. My prayers are with his family and friends right now at this terrible time. Gone way to soon. I met Gabe 11 years ago when i started working with local 3 stagehands and all i can say is I am a better overall human being for having him in my life. To me he represented everything you would want a good man to be.
