Gabriella GASPAR

GASPAR, Gabriella (Gabi) (nee Freymann). Passed away peacefully on December 29, 2003 at her home. Much beloved wife of fifty-eight years of Miklos (Miki/Gazsi), deceased 1999 and most loving and devoted mother to her younger son Peter Ivan of Victoria, deceased 2002. Dear mother of Andrew and his wife Nora, and cherished grandmother of Shaina and Connor, all of Toronto. Sadly missed by her sister Magda of Budapest and her brother-in-law and sister-in-law George and Eva Gaspar of Montreal. Gabi will be lovingly remembered by her nieces Cathy Allon and Sandy Brent, and nephew James Gaspar and cousin Susanne (Zsuzsa) Klauber and their children. Gabi's life was enriched by her many long standing friendships which included: Marilyn Baines, Anna Berces, Ibi Frank, Magda Gardos, Eva Kristof, Harold McNabb, Vali Somosi, Ibi Spatz, Dolly Tiger and many others. Gabi was born July 11, 1922 in Budapest, Hungary. She emigrated to Canada with her family in 1957, settling in Montreal. For many years she worked for Steinberg's, Canadian Admiral and Fleetwood Canada. Many thanks to Dr. Vaktor for his compassionate care of our mother.
