To Alex and Christophe, my heartfelt thoughts to you both for your dear, dearest mother. How very sad for you and how you will miss her love and kindness tremendously.
Of course we met at Chilworth and your mum ‘adopted’ us, providing a place of homeliness and kindness. That was especially valued as I had just left home and maybe needed a family. Your mum had a generous and genuine interest in others and gave great counsel. I have often thought of her and how she supported and gave laughter and life. Always in my prayers as I hope you are both well.

To Gabrielle's children I convey my heartfelt sympathy. Your mom was one-of-a-kind. To me, as a Scripps freshman, she seemed to have stepped out of a fairy tale: pretty, always kind, well-spoken, cultured, well- mannered and coiffed/ dressed, with a hearty laugh when delighted. Even during stressful (e.g. exam) times, she managed to carry herself with the utmost composure - save for the occasional outburst of, "Oh Schwartzie (her nickname for me), I'm so late with this term paper!" Her energy was unstoppable, and she obviously gave her all to those people and causes closest to her heart. The world, and those she touched more personally are richer for having her grace our time here. May she rest in peace.

Dear Alexandra and Christophe
I am not sure how else to contact you both but I did want to say to you that I am very sorry to hear about the death of Gabrielle.
Hopefully she will now find the peace and happiness that she so desired.
I was very fond of her having worked for her for over 6 years although it obviously had its challenges.
I send you both much love at this time and apologise for not been able to send a more personal message. You both, and your children were her lifelines, I am sure sometimes it didn't feel like it, but you were her everything.
Love to you both.
Amanda
