CEYLON: A Celebration of Life Services for Gail Marie Anderson, 72, of rural Ceylon, Minnesota will be 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 17, 2022 at the Kramer Family Funeral Home Chapel in Sherburn with Pastor Steven D. Wilson officiating.
Gail passed away on Sunday morning, August 7, 2022 at Mayo Clinic Health System-St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester, Minnesota. Visitation with the family will be from 4:00 -6:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Kramer Family Funeral Home in Sherburn. Messages of Sympathy may be sent to the family online at www.kramerfuneralhome.com
Gail Marie Halverson was born on December 29, 1949 to Gordon and Gladys (Gulden) Halverson in Fairmont, Minnesota. She grew up in Ceylon and attended and later graduated from high school there. On October 12, 1968 she was united in marriage to Lynn Anderson at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Ceylon. After their marriage they lived in the Ceylon area where Gail worked in food service at the Ceylon Public School. When the school closed and merged with Fairmont she worked in food service for Fairmont Public School until her retirement. She greatly enjoyed gardening, fishing and going to her grandchildren’s sporting events.
She is survived by her husband, Lynn “Zeke” Anderson of rural Ceylon, Minnesota; two sons, Jared Anderson (Tammy) of Welcome, Minnesota and Justin (Kris) Anderson of Lake Crystal, Minnesota; grandchildren, Parker, Payton and Paige Anderson, Logan and Reese Anderson, Jayden (Matt) Moeller, Josh (Hannah) Haugen, Ivorie, Easton, Lincoln and Maverick; sister, Leigh (Jim) Simon of Macon, Missouri; brother, Kevin (Marna) Halverson of Cape Coral, Florida; nieces and nephews; brothers-in-law, Greg Anderson and Sam (Kathy) Anderson both of Ceylon; sisters-in-law, Jan Hybbert of Dunnell and Theresa Anderson of Dunnell and other relatives and friends.
Gail was preceded in death by her parents, Gordon and Gladys Halverson; father and mother-in-law, Paul and Fern Anderson; sister, Gwen Halverson; brother-in-law, Doug Anderson; grandparents, Paul and Marie Gulden and Elizabeth and Andrew Halvorson and other relatives.
