Gail Ann (Rumford) Gossard, 84, passed away peacefully on June 20, 2025, in Edmond, Oklahoma. She was born on February 3, 1941, in Waukegan, Illinois, to Gaillard and Edythe Rumford.

Gail was preceded in death by her beloved husband of over 50 years, Jeffrey L. Gossard Sr., as well as her parents.

She is survived by her daughter Lisa (Kitrick) Eccles and sons Jeffrey Jr. and Derek (Natasha) Gossard. Gail also leaves behind grandsons Richard (Rachel), Thaddeus (Jordan), Samuel (Abbey) Eccles, JonLuc, and Randy Gossard; granddaughter Jacqueline, two great-granddaughters; five great-grandsons; and her brother James (Wendy) Rumford. She is fondly remembered by two nieces, three nephews, several great-nieces and nephews, and her dear friend Karen Sengenberger Ludlow.

Gail dedicated much of her time to volunteer service with organizations such as the Oklahoma City Zoo and the American Red Cross. She was actively involved in community groups including the Newcomer's Club, the Red Hat Society, and The Edmond Iris Club, where she often took on leadership roles.

Her love for gardening and handmade card-making reflected her creativity and thoughtful spirit.

A Celebration of Life Open House will be held on July 19, 2025 at the home of Kitrick and Lisa Eccles.

May Gail's memory bring comfort to those who knew her and serve as a lasting reminder of a life lived with grace and generosity.

Gail was the older cousin that I only got to see when they came to North Dakota to visit Grandma. When we moved to Illinois in 1979 we got to have family time. Some of my fond memories were of getting together with you at the big house! Your parents grew the best sweet corn! Our prayers are with you and your family, Margaret Weisgram

Gail was a relative and our Brownie Leader amongst other activities in which she was involved. She was always kind and loved to laugh. She had a beautiful smile and a warm heart.
She is now home and an Angel with Jeff and Jesus.
May she be a guardian to us all on earth especially her family.
I pray for her beautiful soul.
Jennifer Bairstow Moore.
