On December 17th, 2017, Gail F. Ingson, 73, of Glen Burnie, passed away at Assisted Living Well Compassionate Care in Millersville, Maryland, due to complications of Alzheimer's. Gail was born June 1st, 1944 in Schenectady, New York, to the late Amelia and Edward J. Desrochers. The daughter of a career army man, Gail grew up in several places, including Germany, where she met her cherished lifelong friend Effie Ulsamer. She graduated from Glen Burnie High School in 1962 and began a career with the Department of Defense, where she met her husband, Phil. She married soon after and took time off to be a devoted mom to her kids, volunteering at their schools and clubs, serving as Girl Scout Leader and frequent field trip mom, and organizing many memorable family birthday and holiday parties. Gail was a talented artist, able to look at a picture of almost anything and recreate it on paper nearly perfectly. She designed numerous window displays and posters for her children's schools and later for her job at the library. Her creativity extended to other arts and crafts, and her homemade Halloween costumes were the best! Once her children were older, she returned to work and eventually retired from her job as a circulation assistant at Riviera Beach Public Library in Pasadena, MD. Gail loved to travel and traveled extensively all over the U.S. and Europe with her family. After Phil died, she discovered and fell in love with cruising, and saw even more of the world. She loved to listen and sing to music, and she was never afraid to dance or let loose and be silly in the moment. She had an excellent sense of humor and could make anyone laugh. She loved all types of animals but especially dogs, and was the type of gentle person who would insist on catching and releasing a bug rather than swat it. She was warm, generous and loving to all she met, always putting the needs of others before her own. She was a Eucharistic minister in her church and served as a pastoral visitor for a local hospital for several years. She was deeply loved and will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 36 years, Philip H. Ingson. She is survived by her loving children, Paul Ingson, and his wife Mary Beth, Valerie Wozny and her husband Mike, her cherished grandchildren Joseph Mahla, Andrew Ingson and Meghan Ingson, her dear siblings, David Desrochers (wife Maria Kopec), William Desrochers (wife Sunny), Debra Davis (husband Stephen), Dorothy McLane (husband Bradford), and Mark Desrochers (wife Mary Ellen), as well as a close brother-in-law, Theodore Ingson (wife Ann), and many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. The family will receive visitors at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, P.A., 1 2nd Ave, SW (at Crain Hwy), in Glen Burnie, on Thursday, December 21st, from 3-5 & 7-9 PM. A Catholic funeral liturgy will be held on Friday, December 22nd at 10:00 AM, in the funeral home chapel. Interment to follow at Maryland Veteran's Cemetery in Crownsville.

Mom, you are my eternal sunshine now. Today, as I feel the warm rays of streaming through the window and touching my face, I know you are nearby. I love you so much and miss you more than I could ever express, but I'm glad you are out of pain and reunited with Dad in Heaven.
