GAIL FRANCES WHEELER OAK HILL – Gail Frances Wheeler, 65, of Oak Hill, passed away Thursday, August 18, 2011 at Bowers Hospice House, Beckley. Born on February 15, 1946 in Shenandoah, PA and raised in Hyattsville, MD. She was the daughter the late John Lincoln and Frances Eisenhower McCloskey. Mrs. Wheeler was a people greeter for Wal-Mart in Beckley for over 20 years. She enjoyed making latch-hook rugs and doing needle point. She loved to travel to the Smokey Mountains and she was an animal lover, especially dogs. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her in-laws, Thomas and Lola Wheeler. Left to cherish her memory include her husband of 41 years, Clayton Joel Wheeler of Oak Hill; son, Matthew Joel Wheeler and his wife, Sarah Jane of Fayetteville; sister, Carol Ruleman of Oak Hill; niece, Amanda Ruleman of Oak Hill; great-niece, Natalie Ruleman of Oak Hill; special friends, Harry and Carol Honaker of Ameagle, and a host of other family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM on Sunday, August 21, 2011 at Dodd-Payne-Hess Funeral Home, Fayetteville. Burial will follow at Huse Memorial Park, Fayetteville. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM, Saturday, August 20, 2011 at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Matt Wheeler, Gary Foster, Eddie Skaggs, Mark Redman, Doug Akers, and Jonathan Wheeler. Memorials in Mrs. Wheeler’s memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 301 RHL Blvd – Suite 6, Charleston, WV 25309. Maple Ave., Fayetteville, will be assisting the family.
