Garth was a very humble and generous man. If you needed anything he was there he will be missed! May he rest in peace

Oh my dear Garth you were one of a kind. The world will never be the same without you. I had the pleasure of working with you in Chicago out on the lake. You were a great captain and awesome friend. I wish I could give you a big hug. Thank you for being such a great guy. You will be terribly missed.

Garth was a good friend from our South Side Volleyball leagues. My most vivid memory was when he invited my wife and I to come out to his Marine Unit boat up by Navy Pier. He told us to drive out there at midnight and he'd take us out. Since we had small children at the time in the mid 1990s, we figured we'd just go out fir about 30 minutes. Well we got a big tour around the lakefront from Diversy Harbor to one of the water intake cribs a mike out in the lake. 3 hours later we got back to the pier. We drove home to Evergreen Park and were greeted by our babysitter's mother...not pleased with how late we were. Garth was one of a kind. He's missed by many.

I enjoyed seeing Garth at Calumet reunions which he really enjoyed. He was a nice person and lived closeby when he lived in Chicago. I hope he was happy living in Las Vegas. Virginia Stathos Bomba "Cookie"
