Garth- I know wherever you are is a richer place for having you there. Those of us left behind will have to make do with the memories of your laugh, and all the things we did together until we see each other again. If anyone deserves a rest, it's you my friend. I'll miss you always.

I was shocked and saddened to learn recently of Garth's illness and passing. We worked together in the music industry in Vancouver during the '90s, and we shared many laughs and good conversations. I'll fondly remember you, Garth, as one of the good guys. My deepest condolences to his family and friends.
Sincerely, Barb McIvor

I am so unhappy that I couldn't be a part of Garth's Celebration of life. I often reflect on the type of human being Garth was and I have a Huge Grin on my face. He will be missed but certainly not forgotten. My thoughts are with the family.

My thoughts and prayers go out to Garth's family at this time of sorrow.
Garth came to help us out at the Old Scotch in the late 80's ,first as a waiter and, through smarts, experience, attitude, and a love of live music (ingrained into him from his Winnipeg days no doubt) ,soon took over as GM. Good Times and a great learning experince for us all!
Garth, I am sad that we did not get reconnected as I had always enjoyed your presence, our conversions and the bond of freindship we shared.
Rest In Peace my friend!

Although I haven't had the chance to see Garth for many years I will miss him. He was a big part of my venture into the restaurant/nightclub business at The Old Scotch in Calgary. His contribution to our business was first class all the way. He was a good friend that I will always remember. Rest peacefully Garth.

I wish to express my heartfelt sympathies for the entire Redmond family. Garth was a loyal and caring friend, roommate and employer for the better part of three decades and I will miss him.

Just a couple weeks ago he went out of his way to help me in moving. It just demonstrates to me what a dedicated friend he was to me and many others. I will always cherish my memories of him.

May you find peace in your memories of him as well and if there is anything I can do for any of you please let me know. Bless you all.

Garth and I became good friends as teenagers and I have many happy memories of times we spent together. We drifted apart over the last few years but I am so grateful that he decided to rekindle our friendship and contacted my husband and I about 5 months ago. Garth was a wonderful, kind and compassionate person that I feel extremely priviledged to call my friend.

My deepest sympathies to his family - he will be greatly missed.

Garth will always be remembered for his kind heart and easy laugh. It was pleasure to know him and to volunteer with him at 'A Taste of Calgary' year after year.
