Gary Charles Abendschein, 48, a devoted husband, father, son, brother and friend, returned to the loving arms of our Lord January 1, 2016. Gary was born in Cheektowaga NY, moved to Arizona in 1982 and was a 1985 of Corona de Sol High School. A career truck driver, Gary made his home in Gilbert, Az with his loving wife and best friend of 27 yrs Lisette; and the beautiful legacy of love created in daughters Brittany (Steve ) and Justice, sons Dillon and Dalton and grandchildren Cayden and Ciara. Gary was preceded in death by his father Richard Abendschein, survived by his mother Janet, brothers Todd and Jeff, sister Dawn, nephews Chad, Erik and Sy, and nieces Valene, Michelle and Alysia, many extended family and friends. Gary's blessed life will continue on through heartfelt memories of his quick wit, passion for music, the New York Yankees, Buffalo Bills, and his grill master skills. . He will be remembered for the timing of his bilingual skills and culture he embraced. Gary will deeply missed by all who love him and who are comforted in Gods promise that we will someday reunite in His Kingdom. Funeral services will be held Friday, January 8th, 10am, Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Mesa, Arizona.

Dad I miss you so much. I didn't know where else to write something to you. I just wish you were here and it still hurts to think about what happened. It's been 4 years and I still cry. I love you and things would be so much better for us if you were here to make us laugh. If only you were here to meet little Charli, maybe you have but I wish I could see you. Just wanted to stop by and tell you that.
