Gary Chalcraft Obituary
Gary was born on March 14, 1936 in Albion, IL to Ivan H. and Marjorie I. (Chappell) Chalcraft.
Gary served his country in the US Navy from 1958 – 1962.
On April 12, 1963 he married Mary Ellen Clark at the Olive Congregational Church, and the ceremony was presided over by Reverend Junior Wallace.
Gary was employed by Champion Laboratories for several years as a compounder.
He was also a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Mt. Carmel, IL.
Gary and Mary Ellen have one daughter, Mitzi Jo (David) Hutton of Ragley, LA, three sons: Greg (Vanessa Fewkes) Chalcraft of Hokes Bluff, AL, Marcus Chalcraft of Mt. Carmel, IL, Gerald (Shannon Willson) Chalcraft of Robinson, IL, eight grandchildren: Sinjun Chalcraft, Christopher Hutton, Cassie Hutton, Abigail Compton, Matthew Hutton, Joseph Hutton, Kelsie Willson and Karlee Willson. Gary will be missed by his family and also by his special friends: Anita Becker of Germany, John Willson, Jr. of Robinson, IL and Mike Cooper of Alton, IL. He will also be missed by his in-laws: Dale and Dot Clark of CA, Evelyn Compton of Albion, IL, Charles and June Clark of Bluford, IL, Russell Clark of Alton, IL, Rodger and Jenny Farmer of Springfield, IL and Elmer Baker of Flora, IL., and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Per Gary's wishes, cremation will take place and there will be a graveside service at 11AM, Monday, June 2nd, 2014 at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, north and west of Albion, IL. Military honors will be given at the graveside.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Albion Senior Citizens.

Ingram Funeral Home of Albion is entrusted with the arrangements.

Dear Mary, so very sorry about ur husband's passing. Just saw his obit on fcbk today. Did not even know he was sick but that's probably my own fault. Cause I had not been on here much for whole year and only recently started back on here. And I still have not been on here everyday. My heartfelt sympathies to u and ur family.

Gary, from the days of cruising the Albion Court House Square to our recent dinner in Effingham, you have always been a pleasure to be around.
