Gary "Dale" Horton II Obituary
Gary Dale Horton II, 36, passed away on Friday, February 17, 2023.
Services will be held at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel on Monday, February 27, 2023, at 12 pm with visitation an hour prior.
Dale was born on February 19, 1986, in Shamrock, TX to Gary Dale Horton and Alice Traeger Horton. Dale was an outdoorsman, he loved being outside, visiting the mountains of Utah and Colorado, fishing and the freedom of riding on his motorcycle. He was also a very talented artist, enjoyed working with his hands, and was a jack of all trades. Most of all Dale loved his children and enjoyed being around his nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Gary Dale Horton; his brother, Jason Horton and his grandfather, Cotton Horton.
Survivors include his mother, Alice Horton Anderson; his children, Gary Dale Horton III, Nia Rose Horton, Riddick James Horton; his brother, Joshua Horton, and wife Stephanie; his sisters, Rebecca McKay and husband Charles, and Stephanie Sanchez; his grandparents, Janet McClellan, and James and Loretta Traeger.

Big brother I can't even fathom what is going on right now. However I am deeply saddened and highly upset but I can only keep pushing and l honor you through my actions and day to day journey. Dale , man WT , we’ve had a lot of disagreements threw out the last oh 30+ years and we’ve about rolled in the dirt several times and I didn’t know then why until recently and it was revealed to me , you go threw life wondering what is in store for you , why are things the way they are , what I’ll happen in the future , and why was this man put back in my life right in my face best friends with the one I love , and as you kept in my face challenging me , testing me , until one day it started turning around and we started listening to each other and learning from each other , little by little we grew friends and I’m pissed you left before we could see this threw but that wasn’t in my control or yours . Dale I was one of the few that could really relate to what was in your head , there was pain but there was a hole lot of good in there to , you had many talents and are smarter than you know and you and I , we had some really good talks the last few months that only we knew about and I thank you for that . Some people just don’t get certain others but you did , Anyway thanks for taking care of my best friend and keeping me on my toes . I’m gonna miss you man , sorry so long but I have alot to say sometimes. Everybody is a piece of this puzzle we’re all here to contribute .
