Gary and I were best friends in high school. We would walk from Bossier City down to Shreve Square under the Texas St bridge in Shreveport. After school we went separate ways. Then in late 2015 I found him on Facebbook. We never got the chance to meet up again but stayed in touch by texting. So long old buddy. Enjoy your journey.

My Dear Brother, It has been just a little over a week since you left this earth. I have been thinking of you every hour of every day. You were the sweetest, most loving brother I could have ever dreamed of. You were a true GOOD man who loved your wife, kids, grandkids, and family more than yourself. I am so proud of you and what a hard battle you fought with cancer. You and I shared that. I Love You with all my heart and you will always be in my heart. Love, your big sis, Glenda Wilson❤❤❤❤

We are so sorry that he is gone. He was a true goof-ball and everyone that met him, loved him. I am sorry that we haven't been there to go see how he's doing. We won't be able to make it today but I just wanted to let your family know that we are here if y'all need us. R.I.P. Mr. Gary.
Love, Gabby, Charles III, and Crystal Basco

The Final Salute

Brothers in Arms, Military men and women down through the centuries, have traditionally exchanged Hand Salutes as a sign of recognition and as a way to render courtesy and respect one to another.

This Hand Salute is the last that we shall render to Gary A. Dillon . our Brother-in-Arms. To his family it symbolizes the love and respect that we have for Gary. And to Gary it is rendered as a symbol of honor and gratitude to thank him for the devoted and selfless service he rendered to his country while serving in the U.S. Army. Gary, we commend you for your honorable service. You are a true patriot, who served with honor and distinction. You upheld the finest qualities of an American patriot warrior: courage, commitment, generosity, sacrifice, love and devotion to family and country. You were a true friend. We bid you a sad farewell. You will be dearly missed from among our ranks. Be at Ease. Rest in Peace.
