I worked with Dr Garrett at FOH when I was just a young nurse and he
was just a young doctor. I could tell that he would be a great doctor
because he had such a kind and caring way when he was so young.
He also had a great smile. When I asked him if he were any relation
to Mr. Garrett the teacher from Montrose he proudly said Mr. Garrett
was his father. I would have to say "like Father like Son". Two really
wonderful people. He will be sadly missed. May God comfort those
close to him at this time. Sincerely, Marla Hoyt Atwell

Dr. "Gary" was my doctor for 20 years. As Kathy put it, he cared, truly cared about me as a patient and as a person. I recall many evening appointments which turned into late nighters and he would still have time to sit and discuss not only my health but my personal and my families lives. Family he never met but he recognized the importance of family in relationship to one's health.
This is why I never became upset when Dr. Gary ran late. I knew he was giving the patients before me his undivided, caring treatments.
I was so sad to see Dr. Gary retire, and my search for someone who could be all Dr. Gary was to me as a doctor and as a person will never be fulfilled.
I truly mourn his passing and I send love and prayers to those he loved the most. God Bless you all and God will enjoy his newest angel.

To all of Dr. Garrett's Family and Friends, My deepest sympathy goes out to all of you who touched his path in life. He will be greatly missed. As my doctor he always took the time to be concerned about my health as well as any other issues that was concerning me. To this day I have not met a doctor that seemed to care as much as Dr. Garrett. He was a wonderful man and now he is in a far greater place than earth with our Heavenly Father. May our Heavenly Father's Angels wrap their wings around each one of you, giving you the comfort of knowing he is in heaven. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you. Kathy and Barry Shetler
