Janice and family,

Gary was one of the first individuals I met after joining Cummins many years ago. I came to develop a deep respect for Gary's abilities and patience in mentoring others such as myself. I also had the privilege of sharing a personal friendship both at the office and away and enjoyed his great sense of humor. Thinking about the many good times we had together brings back many fond memories. He was truely a unique individual. We'll miss him.

You have our deepest sympathy.

I worked with Gary for many years as a young engineer at Cummins. He was a mentor to me during my early years and helped me write my first Engineering Job Request (EJR) as a neophyte engineer. He taught me a lot about how to do it right. Few people achieve what Gary did, respect and admiration at all levels, hourly and exempt, working and management. Gary was an inspiration to those who worked with him and I sincerely regret his loss, my thoughts and prayers are with you during this sad time.

Janice,

Having graduated from B.H.S. in the same class with you and Gary, I knew both of you well. When I heard that you and Gary had married, I was happy for both of you. I thought that it was a marriage made in heaven. I not only liked Gary, I admired him: he was always wonderful to be around. He gave you over sixty years of the best years of yours and his life together. He left you with many wonderful memories to comfort you. Best wishes for the rest of your life,

Affectionately,

Jon Larson
