Gary E Lariviere, 68, of Springfield went home to be with the Lord on Friday November 3, 2023. He was born in Springfield June 5, 1955 and was the son of the late Roger Lariviere and Doris (Lariviere) LaTour. He lived most of his life in Springfield and Chicopee. Gary graduated from Brayton High School in Canton, MA and attended Quinsigamond Community College in Worcester, MA. He was a member of Cottage Hill Church and shared the Gospel at every chance he had. He wrote a book about his life's journey living with Cerebral Palsy. He loved communicating online with his many friends and family. He is survived by his sister Rosalie Decoteau and his many neices and nephews: Eric Hall of California, Michelle Hall of Alaska, Roger Decoteau and his wife LeighAnne, Mary Alvarez and her husband Daniel, Joye Cavanaugh and her husband William, Joseph Decoteau, and Sarah O'Shea and her husband Sean as well as his many great nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister Sharon Hall and his brother in law John Decoteau.
The family would like to thank his caregivers Hyacinth Cobhan, Tina Piechota, Gail English, Andre Cobhan, Tiana Robles and Christopher Alvarez.
A celebration of life will be held Friday November 17, 6pm at Cottage Hill Church, 315 Cottage St., Springfield, MA 01104
In lieu of flowers his family requests that memorial donations be made in his memory to Springfield Rescue Mission, PO Box 9045, Springfield, MA 01102

Gary was my mentor and friend i loved him so much He did everything he cou ld to b ring people to Christ and spent hid life on that quest
