Gary T. McNamara

Gary Thomas McNamara, age 63, passed away on Friday, September 9, 2016, at his home, surrounded by the comfort of his loving family. He was the son of the late Edwin and Ruth (Engler) McNamara. Gary was born December 22, 1952, in Norwood. He was a graduate of the Berkley Conservatory of Music. He was employed for many years as a band instructor and German teacher at Canton High School. Gary was a member of the German Club, loved music and performed with his band at the 1967 XPO in Canada. Gary most enjoyed time spent with his family. He was predeceased by his wife, Eileen (Hogan) McNamara who died in 2010. He was the loving brother of Gale and her husband Jim Foren of Foxborough and Greg McNamara and his wife Kristin of N.C. The family would like to thank the nurses of Steward Home Hospice for their wonderful care. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend calling hours Wednesday, September 14, from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Roberts and Sons Funeral Home, 30 South Street, Foxborough.
