I am so sorry for the loss of your husband, father, and all others. Gary was my Boss in Brainerd. He was a very good guy! He knew his job and always strived to make it better for us. He was taken too soon and may you find peace in your memories and I hope time will ease your families pain.

I've only had the pleasure to see Gary pass by busily into Joe's office....and the precious few times I was able to talk, laugh, and enjoy his company at North's annual Long Hot Summer. There are no words to express the loss of such a great man. He was humble, he was real, he was a leader, and made everyone feel like they were more than just an employee, but a friend. I cannot imagine the emotions that those closest to him are going through...please know that he touched many lives and will be missed by so many. You have my greatest sympathy. With much love, Tif

You were my first employer at age 12. It wasn't the most pleasant of jobs, but I enjoyed being the pain in the butt little brother in law hanging around the cops and paramedics at the ambulance garage more than the work. Saturday night monster movies, CB radios, being chased by my own brother in law in The Grey Ghost & telling you I didn't know it was a cop car. (Statute of Limitations must be out on that by now - I knew it was you, and I knew it was a cop car. I was just trying to help you gain valuable chase training early on in your police career - you did great!)You were the only one who stopped in to visit me when I was St. John's in Fargo. I could go on and on how you're positive influence almost convinced me to add more red lights and sirens to the family inventory. I chose the amber light and no siren career in telecommunications instead. I bragged often about you and your work. All of that pales in comparison to your legacy as a husband, father and grandfather. RIP, Gary - the guy with the wide, million dollar mustachioed grin. Heaven now has it's first real paramedic.

Dear Gary, you left you mark in life on so many people, it is impossible to count. Not least of all, your brother, Bill. As Bills wife, I can tell you he spoke of you often and saw you as the hero that you are. The positive influence you have had on your brother is life altering in the most positive way. We will miss you and know that you are in a better place and looking down on us with dad. Your sister-in law, Beverly.

You were taken from us too soon but I know that you are not alone. I am sure dad and Katie met you at the gates. You were a big part of making me the man I am today.I can only hope to be half the man you are. I love you Gary
